Why I am doing this

I founded 1037 Ventures to buy a single Greater Toronto Area business for my family to build and grow for decades to come. I bring the experience and the capital to buy a business with up to $2M in EBITDA or SDE. There is no exit clock and no plan to flip it.

Twenty years of operating

My 20+ years as an entrepreneur and operator have taken me across financial services, technology, digital marketing and home services. I have started, built and expanded businesses in each. I have worked at major technology companies including Yahoo! and Rogers, and earlier I built and ran my own painting business while completing my business degree at Western University.

Bitbuy

I was an early executive at Bitbuy, a leading digital asset platform in Canada, and its founding COO. I built and oversaw operations, technology, marketing, partnerships, business development and sales. Over that time revenue grew from about $100,000 to $32 million a year, the team grew from 4 to more than 100, and we reached 400,000 registered clients across Canada. The company was sold in 2022.

Since then I have held senior operating roles at other technology and financial services businesses, and worked as an entrepreneur, investor and advisor.

What I bring to the next business

I want to buy an established Canadian business and help it through its next stage of growth. That is where my experience in sales, marketing, technology, process improvement and operational scaling is most useful.

Toronto

I was born and raised in Toronto, in a family of entrepreneurs, and I still live here with my wife and our children. I am also a proud Blue Jays, Leafs and Buffalo Bills fan.
